[ADaPT-l] ADaPT Version 8.1 & Updated Guidance

This message is intended to help clarify a few issues concerning ADaPT submittals to FDEP:

1.       There has been some confusion as to how to name ADaPT Lab EDDs, Lab EDD ErrorLogs, and Field EDDs for various FDEP program areas.  ADaPT 8.0.03 and later versions will properly auto-name all files (according to each program area's specifications) provided the ProjectNumber and ProjectName match what is in ADaPT's Project Valid Values table.  Please refrain from changing the name of any exported ADaPT EDD files that have been auto-named.

2.       If you are submitting ADaPT data to the Petroleum Restoration Program (PRP), we suggest you use ADaPT 8.1 beta which has modifications that better suit the PRP program.  This new version has the following features:


  *   Compatible with Windows 8.1
  *   Compatible with MS Access 2013
  *   Export to non-WACS databases, includes Program Area filed in export file, and does not require WACS Testsite IDs for non-WACS program areas
  *   A query that generates most of the PRP field EDD

We will be officially releasing ADaPT 8.1 within the next few weeks.  If you do not need to use Version 8.1 at this time, you are welcome to help us test this new version and provide any feedback.  Please let us know if you have any problems installing ADaPT 8.1 beta.

3.       When creating zip files to submit via FTP for PRP and the Waste Cleanup Program (WCP), please follow the instructions provided in the program-specific guidance documents.  PRP has updated their ADaPT User Guide which can be downloaded at ftp://ftp.dep.state.fl.us/pub/WACS-ADaPT/PRP_ADaPT_User_Guide_10-8-14.pdf
