Subject: Invitation to Water's JUG (Java User's Group), April 14th, 1 - 2 PM



Good afternoon,

 

We would like to extend you an invitation to attend the WRMITS Water Java
User's Group (JUG).  You are welcome to invite other employees who are either
currently developing in Java or who would like to develop in Java in the
future.  

 

The Water JUG was formed to help create a more efficient Java working
environment in the division of water.  However, the Water JUG is not limited
to Water staff, as experience can be shared and built upon across the
department.  Also, there is no pre-requisite level of experience needed to
attend.  There will be attendees that range from proficient to beginner.

 

The goal of the JUG is to share ideas, provide training, research new
technologies emphasizing Java, share lessons learned, and a host of other
topics.  We would also like to use this as a platform to discuss standards,
design patterns, frameworks, and much more.

 

The inaugural meeting on April 14th will be from 1 - 2 in room 609.
Tentatively, the JUG will meet every month, dependant upon attendance.

 

The meeting agenda will include:

-         Introduction

-         Overview of the Water JUG website

-         Business Objectives

-         Open Discussion
