[Epa-pws] [Jhs-mail] Oracle Database Upgrade - ORAPROD completed

The DBAs have completed the upgrade of Oraprod and I have verified that
Oracle Forms, ASP reports (APPPROD), and a Java application display data from
the upgraded database.
 
We are still in the process of completing final checks and verifying the GIS
components.
 
Please begin checking your applications and report to me as soon as possible
the status of your application and any problems.

	All,

	 

	The DBA section will be upgrading the ORAPROD database instance this
weekend; production database services will be down for all applications this
Friday night (8/3) from 6:00pm through 8:00pm Sunday evening (8/5).

	 

	A confirmation email will be sent out when the upgrade is complete.
Please do not access ORAPROD, CA/MapDirect, WebShape Lite, or DOPPLER until
the upgrade has been confirmed.  On Monday morning you will need to modify
your TNSNAMES.ORA file to update the port on the ORAPROD entry to 1527.

	 

	*****Important Instructions for Java Developers******

	§            Java Applications with an embedded connect string to
ORAPROD will need to be adjusted for the port (1527) and scheduled for
deployment by the DBAs on Friday night.

	§            JhsSso and SSO-Client will be modified for the new
ORAPROD port and scheduled for deployed on Friday night.

	 

	Application Leads: Please schedule staff to check on your
applications after the upgrade is complete either late Sunday afternoon or
early Monday morning!

	 

	§         The DBAs will complete the following this weekend:

	§         Modification of the ORAPROD port to 1527 on the epic229
data-sources.xml.

	§         Modification of the DSN entry for ORAPROD on APPPROD and
WWW.DEP.STATE.FL.US <http://www.dep.state.fl.us/> .

	§         Modification of the TNSNAMES.ORA entry for ORAPROD on all
relevant servers.

	§         Refresh the snapshots on DOPPLER after the upgrade is
complete on Sunday.
