<p class="MsoNormal">I would like your help in a program that EPA Region 4 is working on with World Wildlife Fund, and University of Arkansas.  We are designing a guide to help schools identify barriers to school food donation programs in Region 4, i.e. how
 to donate or resell food if it is unclaimed from a shared table.  As part of this program we are trying to identify as many schools as we can in Region 4 that have participated in student food waste audits.  We have decided to promote this program for Earth
 Day, since many schools are already looking for new or different activities for the day, and it could be potentially easier to receive permission to do the audit since it is in celebration of a special event. Below is that USDA, World Wildlife Fund, and I
 worked to create to promote the food waste audits.   If you work with schools please help me pass this along so that we can gather as much data as we can, and make the guide work best for Region 4 schools.  <o:p></o:p></p>

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and the University of Arkansas have collaborated to create a guide for schools who want to measure the amount of food that gets tossed beyond the serving line in their cafeterias. 
 The guide provides information on the reasons why we should examine our waste, how to do an audit, what to do with the data collected, and food waste prevention ideas.</span><o:p></o:p></p>

 lessons, experiential activities and resources grounded in science, math, social studies, and language arts, plus downloadable posters for your classroom. Turn your cafeteria into a classroom, and let your students see, smell, hear, and feel how their own
 actions can create change.</span><o:p></o:p></p>
