GIS Users,
As a result of our recent upgrades to the ArcView 3.2a and =
ArcMap/ArcInfo 8.x
DataMiner, you may encounter the following Issues:
ArcView 3.2a Issue:
If you attempt to open any projects created and saved previous to the
recently updated ArcView 3.2a DataMiner, you will receiver the following
error:
"The global variable _sdecon no longer exists."
The Solution:
1.) Click the "OK" button on the error dialog.
2.) From the "File" pull-down menu, select "Extensions..."=20
3.) In the list of available extension "UNcheck" the box next to the =
FDEP
DataMiner Extension
4.) Click the "OK" button
5.) Once again From the "File" pull-down menu, select "Extensions..."
6.) In the list of available extension "Check" the box next to the FDEP
DataMiner Extension
7.) Click the "OK" button.
8.) Click the "DataMiner" Button. DataMiner should load without any =
errors.
ArcMap 8.x Issue:
If you have not updated to the latest version of DEPDataMiner and you =
attempt
to use the old version you will receive the
following error:
"DEPDataMiner: OptBoundaries_Click. The Microsoft Jet Database Engine =
could
not find the object 'dminer'. "
The Solution:
1.) Click "OK" on the error message. (You may have to click it twice)
2.) DataMiner will open, but please click "Cancel" to close it.
3.) Close ArcMap/ArcInfo
4.) Click on this Link:
http://bis-4cgxh11/Custom/fdep_arcview8.htm
5.) On this web page click the link titled "Install ArcMap Tools". An
install box
will appear, asking: "Would you like to save this program or Run =
this
program or Open
from it's current location?" Please select "Run from current =
location
or Open"
The install will be very quick. Once it is complete. Please close =
the
Web browser.
6.) Start ArcMap and click the DataMiner button. DataMiner should load.
Once again, we regret any inconvenience this may have caused anyone and =
hope
that we can be of further assistance if needed.
