gis-l: ArcSDE Problems

GIS Users,

ArcSDE is running very slowly at the moment because a process for =
another
database on the same server as ArcSDE is being run.  The process =
normally
runs at night so that it will not conflict with normal usage, but it did =
not
run properly last night and had to be rerun.  The competing process =
should
finish in the next half hour or so.  Until it does, your GIS clients
(ArcView, ArcGIS, ArcIMS) may work very slowly and/or may hang up and =
not
work at all.

If you have a client open and get the opportunity, you may want to save =
your
work and close out.  If you try to open a project, you may not be able =
to get
a connection.  Try again a little later this afternoon.
