GIS Users,
We have inserted a new layer 'Cadastral 2003' in SDE on a provisional
basis. This layer was created by FREAC using data harvested from the
Department of Revenue (DOR).
The layer can be accessed via the "Indexes" button in DataMiner.=20
The following are some discrepancies and restrictions that are important =
to
note for this layer:
1. The parcel data is for 61 out of 67 counties. The counties that do not =
have
any parcel data in this layer are Citrus, Franklin, Highlands, Sumter,=20
Suwannee and Washington.
2. The layer has no metadata at present, however it should be available
shortly.
3. There are missing polygons, typically non-taxable parcels. There are
several gaps in the layer which means that we do not have any =
information for
these parcels.
Some counties have not included publicly owned lands-like National Parks =
in
the parcel data.
4. Most of the roads are not digitized. We also see some roads which are
polygons, but have no parcel number or any other information.
There are certain cases where the digitization error couold have created
gaps.
5. Some counties have not added lakes in the parcel data, so we see gaps
there.
6. There are some polygons with parcel no., but no other =
information.Parcel
data for judicial officers and law enforcement officers are redacted =
from the
DOR data.
7. There are parcels belonging to one county that overlap with the =
parcel of
the neighbouring county. This happens when the county boundaries do not =
align
properly with each other.=20
