Position Title: Computer Programmer Analyst 1- GIS Analyst, OPS
Position: OPS Full-time, 40 hrs./per week
Salary: $15-$20/hr., based on qualifications
Location: Tallahassee, Leon County
> This is an OPS position within the FDEP, Office of Greenways and =
Trails.
> This position will assist in the implementation of a geographic =
information
> system (GIS) using ArcGIS software. Tasks include: GIS staff technical
> support, map development and production, data development, quality
> assurance and quality control of GIS related products, and creation of =
maps
> for an online trail guide. =20

Preferred Qualifications:
* A bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or
university, with a major in one of the physical, natural, or social =
sciences;
or
* Professional experience in environmental protection, regulation or
health; one of the physical, natural, or social sciences; can substitute =
on a
year for year basis for the required college education
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Knowledge of the principles of GIS, and proficiency in ArcGIS
software.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office software, specifically Word, Access,
Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
* Ability to work with a team, plan, organize and prioritize work
assignments accordingly
* Ability to communicate professionally and effectively, both verbally
and in writing, with the general public, other governmental agencies, =
and
staff
* Knowledge of Global Positioning System (GPS)=20
* Knowledge of Adobe software, including Photoshop, Illustrator and
Acrobat is preferable
