GIS & ArcIMS Users,
Several months ago, we posted our migration plans for ArcGIS, ArcSDE, =
and
ArcIMS. As a result of our testing and what we learned at the ESRI user
conference, we are changing our plans as outlined below.
* ArcGIS 9.1 - released this morning as an optional upgrade (with =
issues).
ArcGIS 8.3, 9.0, and 9.1 are currently supported.
* ArcSDE 9.1 - we are not planning to migrate at this time as there is =
no
benefit, significant cost, and significant risk. We may stand up an =
instance
of 9.1 to support versioned editing. At present, we are supporting 8.3.
* ArcIMS 9.1 - we are still evaluating ArcIMS 9.1, but are not planning =
to
migrate to 9.0 as had been planned for August. We may need to migrate =
to 9.1
late in the calendar year, but will announce a more precise plan when we =
have
finished the evaluation. At present, we are supporting 4.0.1.
Thanks,
-Linc
