gis-l: **Beaches Raster Data Source Updates**

GIS Users,

The data source information for the following raster layers has been updated.
Users are requested to update their projects if they are currently using any
of these raster layers. The current data source which was  directed to the
ArcIMS Image Service has been changed to ArcSDE Raster. The raster layers
from the ArcIMS Images Service will be deleted on February 19th and users
will not have be able to view these rasters if their projects have not been
previously updated.

The reason for this change is the improved availability of these rasters as
well as improved printing and plotting of large maps. Our tests have shown
that these data source changes do not in any way affect the performance of
these raster layers.

The DataMiner/DataCatalog names of the raster layers are:
Beaches East
Beaches Northwest
Beaches West
