gis-l: Data Deletion - DataMiner/Data Catalog

GIS Users,

The following layer in DataMiner and Data Catalog will be replaced by a
newer, more accurate layer.

Old layer:
ArcSDE Name: DEP.HISTORIC_HURRICANE_PATHS
DataMiner/Data Catalog Name: Historic Hurricane Paths

New layer:
ArcSDE Name: BASE.HISTORIC_HURRICANE_PATHS
DataMiner/Data Catalog Name: Historic Hurricane Paths

The old hurricane paths layer will be removed from both DataMiner and Data
Catalog on Tuesday 15th of May and will be replaced by the new layer on the
same day. The newer hurricane paths layer has been obtained from the NOAA
Tropical Prediction Center/National Hurricane Center and is thereby more
accurate with detailed attributes and storm classifications. It has been
updated with the hurricane paths till the  end of the 2005 hurricane season.
It also has enhanced metadata. Users are requested to note the date of this
data removal/replacement and update any saved projects with this new layer if
necessary.
