gis-l: DataCatalog Reorganization

GIS Users,

 

The DataCatalog category reorganization for the layers in the GIS library has
been completed. We hope that these changes will enable users to spend less
time locating these layers and have quicker access to them. The categories in
which any particular layer is, has also been added to the "Keyword" section
of that layers' metadata.

GIS Users,

We at OTIS/GIS Section are continually evaluating the quality of our services
and we believe the following layers in our GIS library could be better served
in DataCatalog by reorganizing their categories. Please refer to the attached
spreadsheet for more information removed/current categories for these layers.

These changes will be completed by October 15th  and a follow up GIS-L will
be sent to apprise users of this.
