GIS users,

ArcGIS 9.3 is now available to be installed via depnet:

http://depnet/gis/software/ArcGIS93/ArcViewDesktop93.htm

Here are the new features at 9.3 (page 2):

<file:///\\gisres1\gisserver\Software\Esri\ArcGIS93\arcgis-93-whatsnew.pdf>

As with all new software releases, use at your own risk. If you are
currently using ArcGIS 9.2, you do not have to upgrade to 9.3 unless there
are some new features that you need.

If you are using ArcGIS 9.1 or are doing a new installation, then 9.3 is
probably the way to go.

Please note the following:

1) Previous versions of ArcGIS Desktop, Image Server Client, and Image
Server Client Core must be uninstalled prior to installing 9.3.

2) Once 9.3 has been installed, be sure to update DataMiner and
DataCatalog by following the instructions on the above page. The versions
built for 9.2 will not work in 9.3.

3) At 9.3, the behavior of ArcMap extensions (such as DataMiner and
DataCatalog) has changed. As a result, you must close DataMiner or
DataCatalog to switch back to ArcMap.

4) DataCatalog has been updated to remember the last category you were
using.
