GIS Users,

The following layer has been newly introduced in ArcSDE, DataCatalog and

DataCatalog/DataMiner Name: Florida Port Facilities
This data set contains physical information on commercial facilities at the
principal Florida coastal and inland Ports. The data consists of listings of
port area's waterfront facilities, including information on berthing, cranes,
transit sheds, grain elevators, marine repair plants, fleeting areas, and
docking and storage facilities.
This layer can be seen under the "Transportation" category in DataCatalog as
well as DataMiner.

The following existing layers' ArcSDE data source will be changed on February
8th 2008:

ArcSDE Name (old source): BASE.AIRPORTS
ArcSDE Name (new source): BASE.AIRPORTS_2008
DataCatalog/DataMiner Name: Airports

ArcSDE Name (old source): BASE.AMTRAK_STATIONS
ArcSDE Name (new source): BASE.AMTRAK_STATIONS_2008
DataCatalog/DataMiner Name: Amtrak Stations

The display names of these layers, symbology as well as their locations in
DataCatalog/DataMiner will remain unchanged. The Bureau of Transportation
Statistics (BTS) with the US Department of Transportation, from which these
datasets have been acquired, has derived these data sets from a new improved
source- the FAA's National Airspace System Resource Aeronautical Data Product
(Effective 18 January 2007).
Users are requested to update their saved projects if necessary by this date.
