gis-l: New/Replacement layers in DataCatalog/DataMiner

GIS Users,

The following layers in the GIS library will be replaced by new layers on January 4th 2010:

Current ArcSDE Name: BASE.NID_DAMS
Replaced by: BASE.NID_DAMS_2008
DataCatalog/DataMiner Names: NID Dams

This dataset is a Florida subset of the 2008 release of The National Inventory of Dams database. This layer will still be available from the 'Water Resources (Inland)' category in DataCatalog and under the 'Water' tab in DataMiner.

Current ArcSDE Name: BASE.COUNTYSHORE_AREAS
Replaced by: BASE.FL_SHORELINE_AREAS
DataCatalog/DataMiner Name: Florida Counties with Shoreline (areas)

Current ArcSDE Name: BASE.COUNTYSHORE_LINES
Replaced by: BASE.FL_SHORELINE_LINES
DataCatalog/DataMiner Name: Florida Counties with Shoreline (lines)

These new replacement layers were updated with the recent boundary changes for Broward and Palm Beach counties, have a revamped attribute table and will be available as before from the 'Administrative, Municipal & Political Boundaries' category in DataCatalog and is under the 'Boundaries' tab in DataMiner.
