GIS Users,
The following 3 Underground Injection Control (UIC) Wells layers were newly
inserted in ArcSDE, DataCatalog and DataMiner:

ArcSDE Name: DEP.UIC_CLASS1_SP_VW
DataCatalog/DataMiner Name: UIC Class I Wells

This is a statewide GIS layer representing all Class I Underground Injection
Control (UIC) wells in Florida that are currently or previously active. Class
I UIC wells are used to inject nonhazardous waste, hazardous waste (new
hazardous waste wells were banned in 1983), or municipal waste below the
lowermost underground source of drinking water (USDW). A USDW is defined as
an aquifer that contains a total dissolved solids concentration of less than
10,000 milligrams per liter.

ArcSDE Name: DEP.UIC_CLASS5_ASR_SP_VW
DataCatalog/DataMiner Name: UIC Class V ASR Wells

This is a statewide GIS layer representing all Class V Aquifer Storage and
Recovery (ASR) Wells in Florida that are currently or were previously active.
Class V wells are wells not included in the other well classes (I, II, III
and IV) and generally inject nonhazardous fluid into or above an underground
source of drinking water (USDW).

ArcSDE Name: DEP.UIC_CLASS5_NONASR_SP_VW
DataCatalog/DataMiner Name: UIC Class V Non-ASR Wells

This is a statewide GIS layer representing all Class V Wells (except Aquifer
Storage and Recovery (ASR) Wells) in Florida that are currently or were
previously active. Class V wells are wells not included in the other well
classes (I, II, III and IV) and generally inject nonhazardous fluid into or
above an underground source of drinking water (USDW).

All these 3 layers are available under the "Water Resources (Inland)"
category in DataCatalog and are under the "WRM" tab in DataMiner.

The above mentioned layers are replacements for the following layer in
ArcSDE, DataCatalog and DataMiner:

ArcSDE Name: DEP.UIC_WELLS_PT_SP_VW
DataCatalog/DataMiner Name: Underground Injection Control Wells

This layer will be removed from DataCatalog/DataMiner on April 6th 2009 and
users are requested to consume the 3 newly introduced UIC wells layers
instead.

Thanks.
OTIS/GIS Section.
