I am not familar with Juno SB, or working with elevation data in ArcMap, but
it may have something to do with the coordinate system that is set for the
layer, if not all ready taken into account, and if there are optional
vertical coordinate systems available in ArcMap. Under the properties of the
layer see:

I was wondering if Adam had LiDar coverage for his area and maybe could use
the point field in Lidar to add additional vertical measurements to his data
to supplement the GPS averaging.

Well, I'm sorry I couldn't help with a solution. Still you might be able to
get what you need, depending on your accuracy requirements and level of
patience. I was thinking that if it is indeed an error in vertical accuracy
and your other calculations are correct, you might try averaging it out over
a large number of epochs?

Maybe someone in the list serve with some experience with this could let us
know what they have learned. I'd be interested...

Rene, Tom and Bryan - I thought that might be the case bit hoped for a work
around. On a good note the Juno does seem to perform well in the x and y
axis. Thanx for the response.

I concur. Only survey grade equipment will get elevation data that is
accurate enough to be useful.

Hey Dave. The elevation readings on anything less than survey-grade are
going to be (probably) 10 times as inaccurate as the horizontal measurement,
I believe.

All - I am trying to set up a Juno SB to measure Z as height above MSL. I've
calculated geiod separation from GEOID03 GEOID HEIGHT COMPUTATION
<http://www.ngs.noaa.gov/cgi-bin/GEOID_STUFF/geoid03_prompt1.prl> and
changed it to read in feet and still get a Z value that is 25 feet higher
than the USGS Topo map elevation. Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong?
