GIS Users,
The following 3 SWFWMD Land Use Land Cover layers were recently added in the GIS Library:
ArcSDE Name: BASE.SWFWMD_LANDUSE_2007
DataMiner Name: SWFWMD 2007 Land Use
ArcSDE Name: BASE.SWFWMD_LANDUSE_2008
DataMiner Name: SWFWMD 2008 Land Use
ArcSDE Name: BASE.SWFWMD_LANDUSE_2009
DataMiner Name: SWFWMD 2009 Land Use
The land use/cover features categorized according to the Florida Land Use and Cover Classification System (FLUCCS). The features were photo interpreted at 1:8,000 using 2007, 2008, 2009 1- ft color infrared (CIR) digital aerial photographs respectively. This data layer was created to illustrate the different land uses in the Southwest Florida Water Management District as seen in 2007, 2008, 2009. This may be useful for future management applications regarding land use change detection. These layers are available under the “Boundaries” tab in DataMiner.
The following 3 Florida Geological Survey (FGS) layers were recently added in the GIS Library:
ArcSDE Name: DEP.FGS_SPRINGS_PROT_AREAS
DataMiner Name: FGS Springs Protection Areas
The purpose of this layer is to identify areas that contribute flow to Florida springs and to provide a published resource for land use decision-makers as they work to protect and restore both the quantity and quality of water discharging from Florida's springs. This layer is under the “FGS”, “Boundaries” and ‘Indexes” tabs in DataMiner.
ArcSDE Name: DEP.FGS_SWALLETS
DataMiner Name: FGS Swallets
This data set represents Swallets (Stream to sink features) discovered, researched and mapped by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Florida Geological Survey, Florida Swallet Survey. The Florida Swallet Survey was a mapping program funded by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection's Florida Springs Initiative. This layer is under the “FGS” and “Water” tabs in DataMiner.
ArcSDE Name: DEP.FGS_WELLS
DataMiner Name: FGS Wells 2011
This dataset represents drilled wells whose data and geologic samples are maintained by the Office of the Florida Geological Survey (FGS), Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP). This layer is under the “FGS” tab in DataMiner.
