GIS Users,
The following layers were recently updated in the GIS library:
ArcSDE Name: DEP.WBIDS_SP_VW
DataMiner Name: Waterbody IDs (WBIDs)

ArcSDE Name: DEP.STATEWIDE_BMAP_AREAS
DataMiner Name: Statewide BMAP Areas

Both these layers are under the ‘Water’, ‘WRM’ and ‘Boundaries’ tabs in DataMiner.

The following layer was recently added in the GIS library:
ArcSDE Name: DEP.SURFACE_WATER_ALTERNATIVE
DataMiner Name: Surface Water Alternative (SSAC)

All of Florida’s surface waters are classified according to designated uses (Classes I-V). Water quality criteria that support the classes (and therefore, uses) apply uniformly to all waters within the state that have the same classification. Florida recognizes that with the variety of waters found here and a broad approach to them, there may be situations where a generally applicable statewide criterion may not be appropriate for a waterbody or portion of a waterbody. A Site Specific Alternative Criterion, or SSAC, is a water quality criterion developed for a particular waterbody or segment of a waterbody that is designed to more accurately reflect site specific conditions. Criteria, including site specific criteria, are one of the components of Florida’s surface water quality standards, and are intended to protect designated and existing uses of the state waters. This layer is under the ‘Water’, ’WRM’ and ‘Boundaries’ tabs in DataMiner.

Please note that the following layers will be removed from DataMiner on December 19th 2012:
ArcSDE Name: WRM.MITIGATION_SITES_POINTS
DataMiner Name: ERP Mitigation Sites (points)

ArcSDE Name: WRM.MITIGATION_SITES_AREAS
DataMiner Name: ERP Mitigation Sites (areas)

We have received approval from the ERP program area to remove them from use via DataMiner. Users are requested to remove these layers from any saved map documents as they will not be operational after December 19th.

Happy Holidays,

Thanks.
