gis-l: IMPORTANT - GIS Service Update

Good morning,

Tonight (Wednesday) at 7pm Eastern, GIS services will be down.  We will send a follow up e-mail Thursday morning when services are successfully restored.

Due to a server failure, you may experience interruptions because of the load on the temporary system. Please wait a few minutes and try again.

You may also experience difficulty loading base maps and imagery from DEP.  As an alternative, please use the ESRI base maps and imagery in Map Direct, Desktop, and AGO, rather than the sources from our DEP imagery library.

Please e-mail GIS.Librarian with questions on how to access these ESRI resources.
