gis-l: ArcGIS Online Spring Update

Hi all,

ESRI recently rolled out an update<https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/arcgis-online/announcements/whats-new-arcgis-online-april-2021/> to ArcGIS Online which brought several new enhancements we want everyone to be aware of.

The most important update is the release of the New Map Viewer<https://www.arcgis.com/apps/mapviewer/index.html>, which will affect most DEP ArcGIS Online users. The New Map Viewer brings increased performance over the original version, along with new functionality and a new interface. The New Map Viewer will be set as the organization's default map viewer on July 1st, so be sure to check it out and familiarize yourself with it prior. Please see the attached document to learn more about the New Map Viewer and how this change might affect you.
