gis-l: ArcGIS Pro Version 2.8.1 Patch Update

Good Morning,

The OTIS-GIS team has completed pilot testing of ArcGIS Pro version 2.8.1, and is now available via the Service Desk.

All users should be at minimum, on ArcGIS Pro version 2.8.0. (to view current ArcGIS Pro version - 1. Open ArcGIS Pro and on the Start Page, select Settings (bottom-left)  2. From the left-hand pane, select About)

In an effort to support the Service Desk, please do the following to determine if this update is needed:


  *   If you are running ArcGIS Pro 2.7 or earlier - submit a Service Desk ticket to have ArcGIS Pro updated to the latest version.


  *   If you are running ArcGIS Pro 2.8 - review the release notes<https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/get-started/release-notes.htm> for the 2.8.1 patch to determine if the issues addressed will benefit your workflow.

General Information regarding Esri ArcGIS Pro version releases and patches, along with OTIS-GIS recommendations: (the following version numbers are for demonstrative purposes only, and not indicative of current/future version releases)


  *   A change from version 2.x to 3.x is a major release (required)
  *   A change from version x.3 to x.4 is a minor release (recommended)
  *   A change from version x.x.1 to x.x.2 is a patch (optional, if issues addressed affect user-specific workflow)
