DEP GIS users,
Please note that due to the impactful changes expected in the next major release of ArcGIS Pro version 3.0, OTIS-GIS does not plan to upgrade the Department until the stable release of 3.1 expected in Q1 2023. Until that stable version is available, no one should be utilizing or requesting install of Pro 3.0.
Reasons to HOLD upgrading:
* Windows .NET framework on PC must be upgraded to version 6+
* The application is NOT backwards compatible with GIS projects saved in version 2.x. That means any project saved in version 3.x CANNOT be opened by someone using version 2.x.
* DEP's DataMiner toolbar is not yet developed for version 3.x.
* Other DEP program specific tools are not yet developed for version 3.x.
Please reply to GIS.Librarian at FloridaDEP.gov<mailto:GIS.Librarian at FloridaDEP.gov> with related questions and watch for subsequent GIS-L's for timely updates on DEP's adoption of ArcGIS Pro 3.1.
Thanks,
