<p class=MsoNormal>ESRI recently released a new version of ArcGIS Explorer
(Build 900). Unfortunately, installation of this build causes imagery to break
within ArcMap. <b>At this time we recommend that you not install the new
release</b>. The aforementioned error has been documented and submitted to ESRI
who have informed us that they will have it taken care of with the next patch. <o:p></o:p></p>

<p class=MsoNormal>We have documented a fairly simple, but time-consuming
workaround to the problem:<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-left:.5in'><span style='color:black'>To repair
ArcMap installations, go to <b>Control Panel</b> -> <b>Add or Remove
Programs</b>. Hit <b>Change/Remove</b> on ArcGIS Desktop and then select
the <b>Repair</b> option. This will go through and restore any previously
lost functionality.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
