	All projects should be aware of the following in order to accomplish
a smooth promotion from Integration to Pre-Production and Production.

	Installation instructions must include references to interfaces to
other systems such as database servers and the related ports.  Also =
include
firewall holes for accessing servers inside the firewall, such as the =
ArcIms
server.

	This is because all of the JHS servers are now located in the DMZ.  =20

	 In short, anything required to make an application work on the JHS
Integration server, must be documented so that when the request for =
promotion
to Pre-Production and Production occurs the deployment can be done in an
efficient and expeditious manner.  If possible, all firewall =
penetrations or
other infrastructure configuration requests should be requested ahead of =
time
by submitting an email to java team that references the installation =
document
with a scheduled need date.  The dates should be for both Pre-Production =
and
Production deployments.
