Darlene,

Thanks for the feedback.

=20

The server that runs the monitor site is Epic10.

Currently, the monitor tool is setup to only monitor Epic228, our
pre-production server.

We will be adding new monitoring targets later on.

=20

Current components been monitored:

Epic228-Host: This is the server. We monitor the operating
system, which includes memory, CPU and disk I/O.

Epic228-ArmSaqs: This is the OC4J container, where J2EE =
applications
reside. =20

Epic228-HTTP: This is the Apache Web Server. The Apache Web
Server accepts connections from web browsers and direct requests to =
their
appropriate OC4J container. =20

=20

Please send me email if you still have question.

=20

Thanks,

Charles Li

I went through the Powerpoint and also logged on to the server and =
followed
along. The PP presentation seems to guide you through the process fine. =
 It
might be good to have some information about what those different =
servers are
in the DEP environment. Thanks,=20

Charles Li has created a PowerPoint presentation regarding the use of =
OEM
Grid for performance monitoring of applications during testing.
=20
All Project Managers and Technical Leads should review this PowerPoint =
and
provide feedback or comments by the close of business Thursday. Until
Compuware comes online with better tools this will be our primary tool =
for
performance monitoring during application testing.
=20
This PowerPoint presentation will be added to the JHS website next week.

Ivan,

Since I am leaving mid next week, I would like to have some feedback on =
the
PowerPoint before then.

At your earliest convenience, please take a look through it. =20

If possible, can you have the other project leads, Mike and Andrew take =
a
look at it as well? =20

I would also like to put this up on the JHS website.

=20

Thanks,

Charles

Subject: OEM Monitoring PowerPoint

Here, as promised, is a PowerPoint containing a basic "test drive" of =
OEM
Grid, looking at features that might be used to monitor the testing of
Pre-Production applications on epic228. =20

=20

=20

If you have any problems trying out the OEM Grid product, please email =
Middle
Tier Oracle. (Currently OEM Grid is installed on a small server named =
epic10,
but we are in the process of setting up a better server for this =
purpose.)

=20

=20

For all other questions regarding Pre-Production testing, or about any =
other
aspect of testing, please contact Suzanne DalBon.
