Here is a link to a pre-release version of the Registry that has been under
development since October.

http://www.communityofcompetence.com/sections/Registry.htm

Bear in mind this is pre-release but forms range from bulk take-back and
sampling methodology to a module for on-line e-prescribing settings as in
the MOXXI Project at McGill. The page was just updated and that module does
not appear to be back up. The simple (original) form was a consensus form
developed in October in Maine at the Prescription Drug Return Conference.
Interestingly we have come across a British form that is quite similar. Some
forms are for handout prior to a "take-back event." As I type this I'm not
sure looking at the web page that it is as self-explanatory as we need to
be, but that is why we're putting this out before opening the web site for
online data input.

We are inviting anyone with numbers that have been collected already to
contact us as we try and mesh these forms with what is both available now
and what will be collected in the future.

Forms have been shown to FDA and DEA and no recommendations or suggestions
for modification have been made. (This does not imply approval however which
I do not believe they are able to officially offer.)

Also note that the forms that are up come from the public
health/clinical/research world with the exception of the original form.
There is a "sample" data set that is being used to try various reporting
outcomes. That sample data set is available freely to anyone.

Cross-walking to NDC codes is possible from the current data structure,
cross walks to DEA, VA, GPC, BNF drug codes is also possible.

At this point, we anticipate numbers from Indiana AARP over the course of
the next year (they are still being compiled) , Prince Edward Island by the
end of the Summer, and as of yet we are not sure what will be available from
Australia.

There will be a press release in about 3 weeks in Houston and in Augusta,
Maine. Essentially there will be more detail and an invitation to join in
developing the Advisory Board for the Registry. We are looking for any
collection data and are hoping that with standardization it can all be done
electronically. We were waiting to announce this but as the press conference
got delayed we saw no need to slow up the feedback and input. The point is
to make this useful and that means we need as much varied input as possible
into how this evolves.
