Our hospital pharmacy is looking to somehow color code the =
pharmaceuticals for hospital patients so that the end user (nurse, =
other) would know what container (i.e. hazardous waste container, yellow =
"chemo" container, etc) to put it in. We are also looking at putting a =
message in the "Pixus" dispensing system to alert the nurse that is =
taking the drug out that it is hazardous waste. We are trying to make it =
easier for the end user to determine how to dispose of it. Is anyone =
else doing this? What has worked for you? What hasn't worked for you. =
Comments are appreciated.
