Sounds like a step backwards to me. Where is the public information =
regarding this important issue.

Hello. Just an interesting tidbit to share. I just had a conversation =
with
an ad agency in Boston who wanted NERC's help in promoting their October
"drug throw away month" program. When questioned, she said yes, it really
was to encourage people to "get rid of their expired and unwanted drugs by
throwing them out or flushing them." I stressed that while I supported =
the
need to get expired and unwanted medications of the home, telling people =
to
just "get rid of them" was a grossly negligent strategy for the health =
plan
to be taking. I stressed the need for proper disposal, including haz. =
waste
and police involvement. She said "she'd pass the word". Great. Lynn
