All,
I used to say that pyrethroids were safer for people--even though I was 
predicting environmental harm from their increased use.  But I was 
wrong.  The EPA risk assessment for the pyrethroid permethrin recently 
came out.  EPA says that permethrin is classified as "likely to be 
carcinogenic to humans."
