[Pharmwaste] Pharmacy Waste Workshops

The Minnesota Technical Assistance Program (MnTAP), an outreach program 
at the University of Minnesota, and the Solid and Hazardous Waste 
Education Center (SHWEC) at the University of Wisconsin, are sponsoring 
three pharmaceutical waste workshops to assist hospital-based 
pharmacies. Attendees will learn how to stay in compliance with the 
environmental regulations. And, they will learn about opportunities to 
minimize drug waste, in order to reduce waste management costs and 
public health impacts.
Friday, September 7, 2007. 8:30 a.m. to noon.
St. Luke's Hospital, Duluth, Minnesota. The cost is $30 and includes 
continental breakfast. Registration deadline is August 31.
Saturday, September 8, 2007. 1:45 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.
Concurrent session, Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin Annual Conference. The 
cost ranges from $55 for students to $400 for nonmembers. Early 
registration discount before August 20. La Crosse, Wisconsin.
Thursday, October 11, 2007. 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Madison, Wisconsin. 
$50, registration is limited. Live or available as a Webinar broadcast, 
hosted by the Solid and Hazardous Waste Education Center (SHWEC), 
University of Wisconsin.
