Hey all you over 50 list serve members! Bring in your January AARP Bulletin
to share with your coworkers - check out the article on page 10 titled
"Dumping Your Drugs? Don't Flush Them Away."

This is great news - AARP is certainly one of the best venues for getting
this message out to seniors.

Their recommendations?
1.First, check with local pharmacies
2.Check to see if your community has a household hazardous waste program
3.Go to www.epa.gov/epahome/state.htm for local numbers (this goes to a
listing of state environmental programs, not any specific state guidance).

It ends with recommendations for how to disguise and dispose of drugs in your
solid waste if there are no other options.

(I'm not telling who in my office brought in their copy of the bulletin...)
