Drug Residues in Livestock and AFO Waste Streams

Widespread use of antimicrobials and other xenobiotics in livestock
production leads to potential buildup in the environment as well as
microbial resistance. Measurement of drug residues in animal feeding
operations (AFOs) is of increasing interest by a range of stakeholders.

Environmental Assurance Monitoring, LLC (EAM) offers economical and fast
turnaround test kits to screen for and quantitate residues of veterinary
pharmaceuticals, including antibiotics and hormones. These test kits are
ELISA immunoassays, and come in 96-well plate or tube formats.
