Then hopefully when there are hearings, there will be an opportunity for
proposals, amendments, that might stand a better chance of passage. Is there

I got a bit of insight on this proposed legislation:
As for SB966 (Simitian), it's one of "those bills" designed mainly to bring
attention to the topic and not necessarily for passage. The language as
introduced, would put every gas station and corner grocer (read local mom
and pop store) out of business * not mention the slew of federal regs
involved. SB966 will likely die in committee, but the senator will have
brought much-needed attention to the topic.

Woohoo!!! We need to build support for this bill. Southern & Central
California in particular.
Don't know any details yet, including the plan for managing controlled
substances. Will share as I learn more.
