Dear Colleagues:
It is our pleasure to announce the annual call for documentary films for
the 2008 International Symposium on Pharmaceuticals in the Home and the
Environment: Catalysts for Change. This is the premier international
conference on prescription drug use, abuse, collection, and disposal and
represents the official venue for the Sixth Annual Maine Benzodiazepine
Study Group Conference and the Fifth Annual Unused Drug Return
Conference, taking place on November 10 & 11, 2008 in South Portland,
Maine. Selected films will be screened during the annual film festival
at the Symposium on the evening of November 10th. This is your
opportunity to reach health care professionals, policy makers, law
enforcement personnel, environmental researchers, substance abuse
professionals, and others concerned with the human and environmental
impact of prescription drugs on individuals, families, and communities.
To submit your film, please contact conference coordinator Jason
Charland at jason.charland at umit.maine.edu or (207) 262-7928.
