Hi Jim:

I would suggest the individual look at local or regionally based
pharmaceutical companies. They often have some kind of community service
fund that could be used for a take back. We're collaborating with our state
pharmacist's association and they're applying for such funds. Partnerships
will increasingly be key as we work through the challenges with
pharmaceutical use/education/waste.

I hope this helps.

I received an e-mail message from a pharmaceutical collection program
regarding funding for collection programs. They wanted to know if we knew
of any grant money available for take-back programs? They said that
program is really starting to add up, so they need to find additional
sources for funding.

Please let me know if you can help guide me toward any grant money that may
be used for pharmaceutical disposal. My name is Jim Cropper and my e-mail
address is jcropper at ciwmb.ca.gov.
