Does anyone know of any studies that have been done in relation to how
the incineration of pharmaceuticals affects air quality? We're looking
at the option of a portable incinerator here in NM and I'm in the throes
of putting together a briefing paper for our department secretary before
he meets with the Board of Pharmacy and the Attorney General. I would
think that as long as only the pills/liquids are incinerated, and that
we're in compliance with RCRA, there shouldn't be much of a problem,
however, any info would really be appreciated.
