Subject: [Pharmwaste] Please help us update our drug take-back website!

Dear colleagues,

Please help us to update our drug take-back website!
www.takebacknetwork.com, sponsored by King Pharmaceuticals, includes a
listing of on-going take-back programs across the country. We have
updated the information on all the programs currently listed. If you
have an ongoing drug take-back program that is not on the list linked
below, please let us know!

http://takebacknetwork.com/local_efforts.html

Here's an example: http://takebacknetwork.com/missouri.html

To add your program, please send me the following information:

1. Name of program

2. Location

3. Brief description (1 paragraph)

4. Collection sites (if these change frequently, it's fine to say,
for example, "15 pharmacies in the Greater Boston area" or some such)

5. Collecting controlled substances (yes/no)

6. Organizers and partners

7. Program Results/Evaluations (if available - this could be a
link to a report, or a paragraph)

8. Funding

9. Contacts

10. Link to program website (if available)

We are looking to track "on-going" programs...what do we mean by that?
Any program besides a one-day collection event...mail-back, collection
sites that are open daily, or regularly-scheduled collection events. Are
you running a collection event that takes place every 6 months? The
first Saturday of the month? We'd be glad to include them.

The purpose of this page is to provide a snapshot of the level and type
of ongoing drug take-back programs happening around the country, and to
provide contacts to help people interested in doing a program to find
someone in their state or region from whom they can learn. This is NOT
intended as a website for consumers, so information about hours of
operation is not necessary (we suggest providing this information to
Earth911.com). We are also not collecting data on actual drugs
collected, etc., as done by Matthew Mireles.

Thank you to everyone for your hard work to make these programs happen!

Sierra
