Along this vein...Hennepin County, MN, is partnering with a local drug prevention organization, Partnership for Change, on the next medicine
collection event here. Partnership for Change is thrilled to help and has offered to promote the events throughout the community. Some of these
types of organizations receive grant money that could be used to support collection efforts.

Cheers,

The points of overdoses is so true, I started working on a grant in Dec. of 2009 to have hospitals sponsor take-back programs with their police
departments for pollution prevention measures, the grant proved the one point I had been trying to make to hospitals for many years. If you take the
recycle symbol of the three R's - Recycle, Reduce, Reuse and put in three P's - Pollution Prevention, Patient Safety, Public Awareness - the green
teams would not have the same obstacles at the hospitals.

In Ohio deaths from accidental drug poisoning increased 300 percent from 1999 to 2007. We need to keep these programs going.
