Subject: EPA proposed Effluent Guidelines for Pharmaceuticals?

While the iron's somewhat hot, EPA is currently seeking comment via their "Preliminary 2010 Effluent Guidelines Program Plan" @
http://edocket.access.gpo.gov/2009/pdf/E9-30625.pdf I'm sure most of you have seen this, but the comment period ends 2/26. You may completely bypass all pages and go to page 68614, Section B, and submit comments to the docket per the directions on page 68600.

Even if you have no "qualitative or quantitative data" for which they're mainly looking, the more comments/reasons (can we all say the "Precautionary Principle"?) EPA receives in the affirmative they should continue with the rulemaking process, more pressure will be placed on them to do so. More detailed survey questions can then be sent by them to specific healthcare groups to discover their "qualitative/quantitative data".

Please don't pass up this public input process and look into it.
