Please note two inaccuracies regarding EPA's efforts both at the Office
of Water and regarding the Universal Waste Rule. The Federal Register
notice regarding effluent guideliens is open for comment as Allen
Gilliam has pointed out which will result in possible additional
guidelines later this year. The proposal to add hazardous pharmaceutical
waste to the universal waste rule will not result in drugs being
inappropriately disposed, as stated in the article.
