I am impressed by the programs and effort being made to address this issue. Is there a central location for information on the various programs we are hearing about?

If not, it may be good to establish a place to post this information. The list of product stewardship resolutions on the Product Policy Institute's web site is a good example that comes to mind.

My county is not in a position to set that up, but perhaps there are other takers out there.

I am involved with a collaborative effort to plan and conduct a single-day, coordinated drug take-back event at a location within each state in the Potomac River Basin. We noticed an earlier posting about November 13 being a National Pharmaceutical Take-Back Day. Upon researching the issue, Operation Medicine Cabinet in New Jersey (www.operationmedicinecabinetnj.org) is spearheading this and while is being touted as a "National" event (www.americanmedicinechest.org), it seems to be focused on New Jersey.

We are aware of a locality here in PA that is interested and have heard that at least one place in Florida may be participating.

We are curious if any other states/localities are participating in this event and if it is truly a national effort.

Any insight/info would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Pat
