They add more chemicals & treatments to remove and reduce the toxicity of
what's been flushed or discarded down the drain. I attended a Waste Water
Workshop where the topic was Emerging Contaminants. The most resilient
contaminants are Perfluorochemicals (PFC's). Future use of sludge (a waste
water processing product) whose land uses include, agriculture & animal
farms will cease.

Perfluorochemicals are repellent. They are persistent, bioaccumulative and
toxic. They have already been widely detected in wildlife (fish, birds,
seals, polar bears) and humans. They are a toxic cocktail and their
infective proteins affect brain tissue; (Mad Cow Disease). I'm mad too!

They are most widely used in flame retardants (baby clothing) which are not
designed to be fire suits in the first place, coatings for cookware,
textiles, fast food & paper packaging products, fabric and carpet
protection.
