and Research & Visiting Professor, University of Strathclyde, U.K.) and Dr.
*Theofilos Theophanides*, Head, Environment & Agricultural Research Unit,
ATINER & Emeritus Professor, Department of Chemical Engineering, National
Technical University of Athens, Greece would like to invite you to submit a
proposal for presentation at the 7th Annual International Symposium on
Environment <http://www.atiner.gr/environment.htm>, 14-17 May 2012, Athens,
Greece organized by the  Environment and Agriculture Research
Unit<http://www.atiner.gr/docs/ENVIRONMENT_UNIT.htm>of the Athens
Institute for Education and Research <http://www.atiner.gr/> (ATINER). For
the program of the pervious symposiums, book publications based on the
conference papers and other information, please visit the conference

The registration fee is €300 (euro), covering access to all sessions, two
lunches, coffee breaks, electronic copies of the abstract book and
conference material. Special arrangements will be made with local hotels
for a limited number of rooms at a special conference rate. In addition, a
number of social events will be organized: A Greek night of entertainment
with dinner, a special one-day cruise in the Greek islands, an
archaeological tour of Athens and a one-day visit to Delphi. Details of the

The aim of the conference is to bring together scholars and students of
environment from all disciplines such as engineering, biology, chemistry,
geology, economics, geography, history, political science, communications,
environmental health, environmental law & justice, government policy, etc.

Selected papers will be published in a book, following ATINER’s guidelines
and policies. Please submit a 300-word abstract by *16 January 2012*, by
email, atiner at atiner.gr   to: Dr. Theophilos Theophanides, Honorary
Professor, Department of Chemical Engineering, National Technical
University of Athens and Head of the Environment & Agriculture Research
Unit of ATINER. Abstracts should include: Title of Paper, Family Name (s),
First Name (s), Institutional Affiliation, Current Position, an email
address and at least 3 keywords that best describe the subject of the
submission. Please use the abstract submitting form available at
http://www.atiner.gr/docs/2012FORM-ENV.doc. *Decisions are reached within 4
weeks after the abstract submission*

If you want to participate without presenting a paper, i.e. chair a
session, evaluate papers to be included in the conference proceedings or
books, contribute to the editing, organize a panel / mini conference or any

The Athens Institute for Education and Research (ATINER) was established in
1995 as an independent academic organization, with the mission to become a
forum, where academics and researchers - from all over the world - could
meet in Athens to exchange ideas on their research and discuss the future
developments of their discipline. Since 1995, ATINER has organized more
than 150 international conferences and has published over 100

Academically, the Institute consists of four research
