Deadline for proposal submission: *June 30th, 2011*



At this time, we are accepting proposals to be considered for presentation
at the symposium. Possible topics may include but are not limited to: trends
in prescription use or abuse, program strategies for successful drug
disposal projects, best practices in prescribing medication, legislation and
policies effecting prescription drug use and disposal, results of
prescription drug return projects, and alternative therapies to
benzodiazepines.



Each individual or organization may submit more than one proposal.
Applicants will be notified of a decision by July 31st, 2011 (Please note
that the submission of a proposal cannot guarantee its acceptance for
presentation). Presenters are responsible for registering for the conference
and assuming responsibility for all expenses associated with participating
in the 2011 International Symposium.



Symposium, panel, paper, and poster proposal presentations are being
accepted this year. Pre-conference workshops will take place on Sunday,
October 2nd. Symposia, panels, paper, and poster presentations will take
place on Monday and Tuesday October 3rd  and 4th.



The standard audiovisual equipment provided in all sessions (except posters)
includes an LCD projector, computer and screen at no charge to the
presenter. Audiovisual equipment is not permitted for poster presentations.

*Call for Film Entries for Annual Film Festival Now Open!*

Deadline for film entry submissions: *June 30th, 2011*

Selected films will be screened during the annual film festival at the
Symposium. This is your opportunity to reach health care professionals,
policy makers, law enforcement personnel, environmental researchers,
substance abuse professionals, and others concerned with the human and
environmental impact of prescription drugs on individuals, families, and
communities.



*Conditions of submission*

Submission of your film indicates your agreement to the conditions.



We cannot guarantee that all films submitted will be screened during the
annual film festival at the Symposium.



All films, once submitted, will become property of the Center on Aging (we
cannot return film copies submitted to the Center).



If there is any information you include on your entry form that you do not
want to be made publicly available, please contact us.



More than one entry may be submitted. Each entry must be accompanied by a
separate entry form.
