[Pharmwaste] NH

NH permits disposal of medicine at two WTE plants with very high thermal temperatures and appropriate scrubbers and emission controls. Some of the smaller WTE facilities do not have these features or the testing information necessary to demonstrate that disposal of medicine at the smaller facilities is appropriate. Waivers to our state hazard waste regulations have been issued to streamline the disposal of collected household medicine at the two in-state WTE facilities.

In the last couple days I was told that NH has declined to permit disposal of returned drugs on the next DEA take back at their local WTE plant. Can anyone confirm that, and then for the big one... why?
