I was unclear in what I wrote earlier, the section 15 was inserted not
deleted. The latest markup which this came from was not yet up on the Vt
legislative website but should be soon.

TO THE HOUSE 1 OF REPRESENTATIVES:
2 The Committee on Human Services to which was referred House Bill
3 No. 745 entitled “An act relating to the Vermont prescription monitoring
4 system” respectfully reports that it has considered the same and
recommends
5 that the bill be amended by striking out all after the enacting clause and
6 inserting in lieu thereof the following:

15 Sec. 15. UNUSED DRUG DISPOSAL PROGRAM
16 (a) The commissioner of health shall establish a program based on
17 Maine’s Safe Medicine Disposal for ME Program that enables Vermont
18 residents to safely dispose of unused or expired prescription and
19 over-the-counter medicine using free, postage-paid medicine disposal
kits.
20 (b) The commissioner shall identify and secure appropriate sources of
21 funding to support the drug disposal program.
