[Pharmwaste] DEA Rule update

Late Friday the DEA returned my phone call regarding the new rule.  
 
I was told the OMB had sent the rule back to DEA for clarification.  The DEA expedited their response and sent a reply back to OMB.  My contact did not have dates for these events.
 
He wasn't sure if the re-submittal reset the 90 day clock or if the OMB simply didn't bother to state their need for the allowed 30 day extension to the limit.  He was confident that the OMB is as determined as they are to see this rule issued ASAP.  
 
Assuming the 90 day clock was reset when the DEA sent them a clarification, which had to have been some time ago, we should expect the rule to be issued in the next couple of months.
