Wishing you all safe travels and a happy Thanksgiving!
I know that several entities from Minnesota are on the list serve and I wanted to let you know of a change in the location of our regulatory information for the healthcare industry. Minnesota has well developed resources to answer regulatory questions and our interpretations may differ from other states. We are certainly thankful for our MnTAP Program! Maybe others will find it useful as well.
The MPCA will soon be deleting its 'Healthcare Webpage' in favor of parallel MnTAP resources. All of the individual factsheets linked from the MPCA's Healthcare Webpage will remain active and be linked from the main HW Publications webpage as they always have been:
http://www.pca.state.mn.us/index.php/waste/waste-permits-and-rules/waste-permits-and-forms/hazardous-waste-documents.html
Any of your links directly to individual factsheets will remain and will not be affected.
MnTAP Launches New Healthcare Website
MnTAP is excited to launch a new healthcare industry portal<http://ecommunication.umn.edu/t/461995/60090410/149543/0/> to connect industry with pollution prevention and waste regulatory resources.
MnTAP has been working with the healthcare industry since the late 1990s and can provide assistance to help you increase resource efficiency, reduce waste, reduce costs, and increase regulatory compliance. MnTAP has worked with a range of healthcare facilities including hospitals, surgery centers, clinical laboratories, dental offices, family practice and specialty clinics, imaging and radiology, long-term care, pharmacies, and veterinary clinics.
The new information is easily navigable by topic or by type of facility. Topics include regulatory resources focused on waste and sustainability resources on topics like infection prevention, energy efficiency, and waste reduction and recycling.
Visit http://mntap.umn.edu/health/index.htm
to access these resources. A full press release can be found here.
