What this webinar is about...






Last Tuesday, the Supreme Court declined to hear Big Pharma's petition against the Alameda County drug take-back ordinance, paving the way for similar EPR legislation around the country. In this webinar, our expert speakers will explore the legal and technical aspects of this decision, and the effect it will have on state and local governments, and other stakeholders. We will cover:

 *   The origins of Alameda County's interest in developing a take-back law, and the actions taken to build a coalition for passage;
 *   The current status of Alameda County's drug take-back program implementation;
 *   The basis for the challenge to the Alameda County ordinance, and the likely reasons the Supreme Court decided in favor of the county;
 *   How to write pharmaceutical take-back legislation to minimize the risk of future litigation; and
 *   How litigation risk varies among circuit jurisdictions around the nation.
